Psychosocial Support Consultant
Contract: Consultancy, up to 3 available

The role
The Psychosocial Support Consultant will be responsible for delivering mental health support, recommendations, and mental wellness advocacy to the digital rights and internet freedom communities as part of Team CommUNITY’s Wellness Team. These communities are often frontline digital rights or human rights activists; community organizers and leaders working under great duress and stress.
The consultant will be responsible for the facilitation and organizing of mental health services and activities delivered mostly in a remote/virtual setting. These can include but not limited to: self-care group sessions, psychoeducational presentations on mental health and self-care, creative art sessions, one-on-one check-ins with community members, creating and sharing resources and tools for community members. The position will also liaise with the Wellness Team on mental wellbeing concerns or our larger community.
What we need (required qualifications):
Diploma or College Degree in Psychology, Social Work or Humanitarian sciences
Minimum one year of experience in similar position
Expertise and/or experience in mental health and psychosocial support field
You are flexible. We are a distributed team and strive to accommodate meetings/gatherings across multiple time zones.
What we would like (preferred qualifications):
You have an appreciation for the role that freedom of expression, human rights, or digital rights plays in our daily lives.
Experience working with multilingual and multicultural communities, especially activists, human rights defenders, or frontline communities.
Fluency in another language other than English.
Preferably based in East Asia, Southeast Asia, or Asia Pacific
